The height of the socket is determined by the height of the candle it holds. Generally speaking, the taller the candle, the deeper the socket to keep it straight and prevent bending. Use the following chart to determine the proper Candle Height/Socket Height Type.

All sockets come with a 1/2-13 threaded hole in the bottom plate except for the 2-1/2 x 3" which come with a 3/8-16 unless requested otherwis. Thread size adapters are available: 1/4-20, 5/16-18, 3/8-16 @ $2.50 each.
